Chefs Uncut — Asia’s First Chef Bio Series
An acclaimed original documentary series about Asia’s chefs, streaming on Netflix and SBS Australia.
The project
Chefs Uncut is Asia’s first chef bio series — an original documentary series we created about the chefs shaping the region’s food culture, now streaming on Netflix and SBS Australia. Not a commission: our own concept, developed, produced and sold to distribution.
That distinction matters. Plenty of production companies can execute a documentary brief. Creating a series good enough for Netflix to carry means owning every stage — editorial concept, access, story structure, craft and delivery to streamer standards.
The Netflix body of work
Chefs Uncut sits within a longer relationship with Netflix across the region:
- Netflix Zodiac — a 12-video series for Netflix’s interactive global Chinese Zodiac campaign, which reached 12 million views.
- The Stir — an 8-episode hosted talk show for Netflix Philippines, the company’s largest-budget online production at the time.
- Orange Is The New Black — Unraveled — over 3 million views and winner of The Drum Award for Excellence 2017.
- The Stranded — behind-the-scenes featurettes for Netflix Thailand’s flagship original.
Why it matters for your brand
Documentary craft at streamer standard is what we bring to branded documentaries and content series for corporate clients: real stories, properly told, that audiences choose to watch.
