Video production, built AI-native
We build AI tools into how we make video by default — voiceover, image generation, video generation and music — directed with the same craft standard as anything shot conventionally. Alibaba Cloud brought us in to explain their AI software; fittingly, we made it with AI.
Why AI-native, not AI-bolted-on
Plenty of studios can run a generated clip through an edit. Being AI-native is different: it means the workflow is built around these tools from the brief onward — knowing which tool suits which shot, what still needs a human voice or a real camera, and how to direct AI generation so the output looks intentional rather than generic.
For Alibaba Cloud, that meant three explainers for their AI software — AI Role Play, Agentic Coding, and Vision-Language & Agents — plus a fully AI-generated short film spanning narrative drama and product advertising. All four built end-to-end with AI voiceover, AI image and video generation, and AI-composed music, directed by our creative team throughout.
What we produce this way
- AI voiceover — natural-sounding narration in multiple languages and tones, fast to iterate
- AI image & video generation — concept visuals, stylised sequences, product and software explainers
- AI-composed music — original scoring matched to pace and mood, without licensing overhead
- Hybrid production — AI-generated sequences cut alongside conventionally shot footage where a real person or place matters
Where it fits, and where it doesn't
AI generation is genuinely strong for explaining abstract or software-driven products — exactly Alibaba Cloud's brief — and for fast concept iteration before committing to a full shoot. It's the wrong call when the story depends on a real person, a real place or an unrepeatable moment; that's still a camera and a crew. We'll tell you honestly which your brief needs, and often the right answer is both.

FAQ
What does "AI-native" mean at Listed Creative?
It means AI tools sit inside our production workflow by default, not as a gimmick bolted on afterwards. Voiceover, image generation, video generation and music can all be produced with AI where it genuinely serves the project — directed and edited by our team, to the same craft standard as anything we shoot conventionally.
Does AI replace your creative team?
No — it changes what the tools can do, not who is doing the thinking. The brief, the story, the direction and the final edit are ours. AI generation is a faster, cheaper way to produce certain assets; it still needs a director who knows what looks right and what doesn’t.
What did you make for Alibaba Cloud?
A video series promoting Alibaba Cloud’s AI software services — AI Role Play, Agentic Coding, and Vision-Language & Agents — plus a fully AI-generated short film spanning narrative drama and product advertising. We handled the creative and produced all four with an AI-native workflow: AI voiceover, image and video generation, and AI-composed music.
When does AI production make sense, and when doesn’t it?
It’s strong for concept visualisation, stylised or abstract sequences, rapid iteration, and content where a fully synthetic look is the point — like explaining AI software itself. It’s the wrong tool when a story depends on a real person, place or moment; that’s still a camera and a crew.
Is AI production cheaper than a traditional shoot?
Often, yes — no location, crew or travel costs for the generated portions. But the honest answer is "it depends on the brief": a hybrid of AI-generated and traditionally shot footage is common, and we’ll scope whichever mix gets the result for the least cost.
